Copenhagen Fashion Film presents this year a small pop-up festival with three unique films, all celebrating the fashion icon Pierre Cardin.

A DANDY IN ASPIC (1968)

A double agent hired to kill himself? It all sounds crazy, and with stars like Mia Farrow and Laurence Harvey, here’s a real bang bang spy classic. Mia Farrow stars beautiful Caroline, with dresses all created by Pierre Cardin, and acts as a sublime image in his distinctive design style. The dresses are a look of the time and a manifestation of Cardin as a designer.

The film follows a group of British and Soviet intelligence agents who are all trying to kill each other. In the center of it all, we meet the Russian spy and double agent Krasnevin a.k.a. Alexander Eberlin (Laurence Harvey), an important piece in the complex spy game. Caroline and Eberlin fall in love, but the story gets complicated as Erberlin is ordered to kill a Russian spy – which is himself!

The film will be presented by Else Skjold – Associate Professor at KADK.
