This beautiful drama is directed by cinema’s new leading star Xavier Dolan. It tells the story of an impossible love between Frédérique and her long-term boyfriend Laurence, a man who reveals his inner desire to become his true self: a woman. The emotional ride of the film is underpinned by the different and changing clothes, which play an important role in defining the characters’ changes in both body and mind.

Outfitted in the finest 1980s designer wear, you will see a billowing aubergine purple coat, paperclips as fingernails and a room full of gigantic pink bows, lemon-yellow princess dresses, puffy crimson floor-length gowns and stylish tuxedos with visor accessories. A true sight for sore eyes!
