This weekend Copenhagen Fashion Film opens a bag full of inspiring and intriguing feature films. We start with two classics from the 60s and 70s.
On Saturday February 7th at 6.45pm you can experience the dazzling film drama Puzzle of a Downfall Child which stars the ever so stylish Faye Dunaway in a role as a failed model, who is trying to re-establish her success in the heyday of her modelling career. The film is made by former fashion photographer Jerry Schatzberg who has worked for leading fashion magazines such as Vogue before unfolding his talent as a film director. Acknowledged Danish fashion researcher Ane Lynge-Jorlén will introduce the film focusing on the fantastic fashion aspects of the film.
This Sunday February 8th at 3.15pm Boccaccio ´70 - a true heavyweight meeting between the four legendary Italian directors Vittorio De Sica, Federico Fellini, Luchino Visconti and Mario Monicelli will be screened! Combined with three of the greatest film divas from the 1960s - Sophia Loren, Romy Schneider and Anita Ekberg - this film is an explosive cocktail of fierce ladies, lavish costumes, and an enticing tale.
Boccaccio ´70 is a spectacular display of satire, drama, humour and sex - obviously directed with a rarely seen flair for the visual. It is also a journey through the fashion universe of the time. With two of the greatest Italian costume designers at the helm of the costumes - Piero Zuffi and Piero Tosi - one´s fashion heart will not be disappointed!
